RoboBridge-Empowering Special Needs Students Through STEAM and Robotics (session 2)
In the second section of RoboBridge, we focused on VEX GO learning kits and paired each special needs student with their own instructor. This one-on-one approach really paid off—students built robots, learned basic programming, and had so much fun. Seeing their smiles was the best reward for our instructors. We can’t wait for the next session, a Christmas Robotics Party on December 21st!
Three 8889 Teams Shine at Regional and National Competitions
Harvest Saturday was full of lessons and excitement for our teams! Team 8889A took on the challenge of competing with a newly designed robot and autonomous code, learning valuable lessons despite a tough loss. Team 8889C made an incredible debut, reaching the middle school finals at their very first event. Meanwhile, Team 8889B earned their first Creative Award, kicking off their season with a strong start. It was a day of growth, teamwork, and motivation for everyone involved!
Numerosity Academy’s Teams Shine at North Andover VEX Robotics Event (23-Nov-2024)
Numerosity Academy’s VEX teams had an incredible showing at the North Andover competition, a qualifier for Regionals and the VEX World Championship in Dallas. Team 8889B won the Innovate Award, while Team 8889A swept the event with a Triple Crown: Tournament Champion, Skills Champion, and Excellence Award. Partnering with the 2024 IQ World Champs, Hopkinetics KryptoKnights, they pulled off a thrilling 3-point win. These achievements highlight the hard work and creativity of our teams!
Belmont Hill V5RC Blended High Stakes Tournament (2-Nov-2024)
Congratulations to Team 8889B on winning tournament champions at Belmont Hill V5RC Blended High Stakes Tournament on November 2nd, 2024. The win also made Team 8889B one of the first teams in Massachusetts to be qualified for regional championship. This is the first trophy won by this new team formed last August. Guided by senior members from 8889A, the young and energetic team members gain insights into the VEX world of knowledge and competitions. What they have learned goes well beyond the trophy.
RoboBridge-Empowering Special Needs Students Through STEAM and Robotics
On Saturday Nov 9th, we successfully hosted our first session of RoboBridge, our biweekly program designed to provide adaptive robotics education and creative activities for students with special needs. The event was attended by 10 students, each paired with a dedicated volunteer teacher for one-on-one guidance.

ROBOlight-Community Robo Event Series 1 (March, 30, 2024)
Numberosity Academy successfully hosted their first community event at the Lexington Community Center on March 30, 2024. The event was aimed at introducing VEX Robotics to robot enthusiasts and families interested in learning more about VEX in Lexington and nearby towns. Team Members from 8889A shared their insights into VEX, their team’s history, and experiences. The event featured a live demonstration of their robot, engaging hands-on driving challenges, and a Q&A session. With over 100 attendees, including many enthusiastic young kids, the event was a great success, sparking interest and engagement in VEX Robotics.
