Southern New England VRC Regional Championships HS Division (Feb 26, 2024)

At the recent New England VEX Regional Championships, we clinched the tournament champion title, going undefeated in all 15 matches. Despite finishing third in the skills challenge rankings, it marked our best performance of the season, and managed to get us the 19th highest score in the world.

In 2024, we participated in three major national competitions, reaching the quarter-finals in one and becoming finalists in the other two. These invaluable experiences have shaped every team member through numerous challenges and hardships. We were also able to make many friends and engage with other strong teams from different regions.

At last, Congratulations to several Lexington teams for receiving awards and qualifying for the World Championship in April. The continuous exchanges have contributed to the overall improvement of not only our team but all the teams in the region. Lexington teams have managed to take up five out of the 22 spots in the Southern New England region. See you all at the World!

LAUNCH VRC Signature Event @ Ohio ( Feb 16 )

This week, we went back to Ohio for Launch, one of the strongest signature events with 72 strong teams. This event holds global significance as eleven of the participating teams had already secured sports for the World Championships before states. Despite facing challenges including bad match schedule and unexpected incidents like pipe leaks and battery falls, our performance in the qualification rounds fell short, with losses in 4 out of 9 matches, resulting in a 32nd overall ranking in quals. In Skills, we did a bit better, managing to be 4th with a 359 total Skills score. For elimination rounds, however, we had a fantastic alliance with 99904B, the 4th seed. In the end, we made it all the way to Finals, barely losing the last two matches. Thanks to 7316X and 323V for two amazing Finals matches and to all the volunteers for organizing such an exciting event at the Great Lakes Science Center!
