RoboBridge-Empowering Special Needs Students Through STEAM and Robotics (session 2)

In the second section of our RoboBridge program, we shifted focus from the variety of STEAM games offered in the first section—where students explored different options to find their favorite subjects or activities—to working exclusively with VEX GO learning kits. This structured approach allowed us to dive deeper into robotics and focus on the engaging VEX GO game.

To ensure our special needs students received the support and encouragement they needed, we paired each child with an instructor in a one-to-one teaching model. This approach, developed with guidance from I Can Fly, helps the students stay focused and maximizes their learning potential. The results have been incredible—many of our students successfully built functional VEX GO carts, coded basic programs, and even drove their creations around the field with confidence.

Our young instructors were inspired and deeply encouraged by the joy and smiles on their students’ faces. Looking ahead, we’re excited to host our third RoboBridge session on December 21st, which will be a Christmas Robotics Party for our special students. We hope it will be another memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved!
